Stihl Gives Fire Department Tools

Christmas came a little early for the Hillsborough/Orange Rural Fire Department this year.

But instead of Santa with a bag full of toys, Mid-Atlantic Stihl visited the department Dec. 20 with several thousand of dollars worth of tools and safety equipment — all free of charge.

Stihl has had a distribution center in Hillsborough since 2001 and serves retailers in six states with its power tools.

For the fire department, the company brought an assortment of goodies, including a chainsaw, rescue saw, cut-off saw, weed eater and safety equipment.

The chainsaw will get a lot of daily work around the district, says Chief Jeff Cabe.
