NHLA, Industry Groups to Beautify National Mall’s Constitution Gardens

The National Hispanic Landscape Alliance will be participating in a Day of Service initiative this Friday.

The initiative will be on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. and is hosted by the Trust for the National Mall.

A variety of organizations will be participating with NHLA in the event including, John Deere, the Professional Landcare Network, OPEI, the Irrigation Association and other industry associations.

The groups will come together to work on improving the space north of the Lincoln Monument Reflecting Pool.

A total of 82 volunteers from across the country will participate in this year’s Day of Service at the Mall, including Ruly Scapes and NHLA President, Raul Berrios; NHLA President Elect and VP of Operations of Total Tree Care; Juan Torres; NHLA Secretary-Treasurer and President of Alexandria Lawn Service, Pam Berrios and NHLA Executive Director, Ralph Egües.

The group will be working to refine the landform, soils, plant materials, water flows and paving at the National Mall’s Constitution Gardens.
