The National Hispanic Landscape Alliance announced that its president, Juan Torres, has joined Denison Landscaping as its chief operating officer.

Torres, who has more than 25 years of tree-care and landscape industry experience, most recently had been working as an operations consultant through Next Step Solutions, an East Haven, Connecticut, firm he founded.

“The strides that Juan Torres has made in the landscaping industry are the result of his relentless hard work, commitment to excellence and strong desire to grow and assist others in doing likewise,” said Ralph Egües, executive director of NHLA. “Juan’s career serves as an example of the significant opportunities that exist in the landscape industry for those who strive to learn and apply best practices, regardless of their background.”

Founded in 1973, Denison Landscaping is a family-owned, full-service operation servicing the mid-Atlantic with offices in Maryland, Delaware and Pittsburgh.
