Mariani Landscape, one of the country’s premier landscape design, installation and maintenance companies, recently received the Community Service Award presented as part of the 22nd annual Illinois Family Business of the Year Awards.

The awards program is overseen by the Family Business Center at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business.

The Community Service Award recognizes exceptional Illinois-based family businesses that exemplify a strong commitment to business development, family and the greater community.

“As a family-owned company that has been in business for almost 60 years, we are thrilled to be recognized for our community service,” said Frank Mariani, owner of the Lake Bluff-based company. “Our ongoing commitment to philanthropy has always been an integral part of our company culture. Keeping family as our foundation, we are honored to receive this recognition.”

Mariani Landscape’s Chicago area philanthropic activities are extensive, ranging from support of foundations, medical and educational institutions to local food-bank contributions and religious fundraising.

The 2015 Illinois Family Business of the Year Award recipients will be honored at a gala scheduled for Nov. 19 at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago. The event is part of a yearlong celebration of the 25th anniversary of Loyola’s Family Business Center.
