JCB North America played host recently to its annual Lady Bamford Center (LBC) Christmas Extravaganza in Savannah, Georgia.
As part of JCB’s support of the Lady Bamford Center, which provides care, education and social skills development to children from six weeks to 5 years of age, the company purchased Christmas presents for each child and presented them in grandiose fashion via Santa and Mrs. Claus and their JCB style sleigh.
“The Christmas Extravaganza is always a favorite event for those of us at JCB,” said Thom Peebles, vice president of marketing for JCB North America. “To see the delight of the children as Santa enters on his sleigh and to watch the excitement on their faces as they meet Santa and receive their own present from him is an experience unlike any other.”
Operated by Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, the Lady Bamford Center offers priority admission to children from homeless and low-income families, as well as children with physical, mental or emotional challenges.
Meanwhile, JCB’s year-end activities also included a ceremony to acknowledge employees who have contributed to the ongoing success of the company in a number of key areas. JCB North America President and CEO Arjun Mirdha led the event, which included recognition for years of service as well as special awards for individual accomplishments.
“We are fortunate to have an unrivalled depth of talent within our organization,” Mirdha said.
