SCG Partners, a Cleveland, Ohio-based private equity firm, has bought the assets of another commercial landscaping company in Florida – its fourth landscape-related acquisition there in the past six months – and says it’s actively looking to acquire more landscaping companies in the Southeast.

The latest purchase, a landscaping contractor in Melbourne, follows SCG Partners’ announcement in October that it had acquired three other landscape maintenance companies in that area.

In the firm’s news release on its latest purchase, it said the combined Florida businesses will operate as Green Leaf Landscaping & Irrigation.

SCG Partners did not disclose the terms of the deals.

The firm says its latest acquisition has operated in Florida for more than 20 years and boasts over 300 commercial accounts. The company provides landscape design, arbor care, fertilization, irrigation, lawn maintenance and landscape installation, among other services.

The seller in the transaction was represented by Benchmark International, an adviser on mergers and acquisitions to the lower middle market.
