Leading content creators within the landscaping industry will lead key events at Equip Exposition, being held October 21-24 at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), designed to inspire landscapers and contractors with actionable and practical ideas to grow and expand their businesses
“The Morning Show at Expo, sponsored by Rehlko, is a live podcast experience, so the audience can feel a part of it,” said Naylor Taliaferro, host of the LCR Media Podcast. The Thursday morning event features three podcasts, each interviewing a different business owner in the industry at various stages of growth, who answer questions and share their experiences.
Paul Jamison, host of the Green Industry Podcast, calls it “a very valuable” part of the event—and for good reason. “The show is entertaining and it’s also motivating and then...it gets very practical,” he says.
What sets the Morning Show at Expo apart? “You show up and you want to know something and you just can hop on the mic and ask the question. It’s not just inspiration—it’s implementation,” says Jamison.
Working with co-hosts Taliaferro, and Caleb Auman, host of the Kid Contractor Podcast, Jamison says they put hours into curating the lineup. “We wanted to have experts at various sizes,” from startup contractors to eight-figure operations like the one run by Jeremy Talboy, owner of North Georgia Landscape Management.
“Jeremy will share the story of how he’s grown this gigantic business...while making sure he’s there as a husband and as a father,” said Jamison. Other guests include Cornell Mack, MACK Landscaping & Lawn Care and Stanley Genadek, Dirt Monkey.
Growing a successful landscaping business boils down to mentality, and the creators want to help attendees expand. “It’s not just the skills or tactics. The mindset is the difference,” says Taliaferro. “You have to elevate your mind and your way of thinking to get to that point.”
On Thursday afternoon, ENERGIZE will deliver another dose of inspiration. “ENERGIZE is all about sales and marketing,” said Brian Fullerton, host of the Fullerton Unfiltered Podcast and owner of Brian’s Lawn Maintenance.
“There is no free money. It’s about what’s working out there…I am doing a panel with three guys building companies and talking about what’s working for sales and marketing and what’s not working,” says Fullerton.
The event also helps build connections. “It’s a great way to network with peers while taking a break. You can stay in tune to what’s working to drive sales and new company growth,” adds Fullerton.
Throughout the three-day show, attendees can stop by Pod-Row™ in the Creator Space in South Wing C. It’s a hub where they can meet their favorite content creators and perhaps be on a podcast streaming live.
Attendees can also fuel their own connections (and charge up) by visiting the ECHO Social Media Patio, which is traditionally a hub for content creators streaming live the happenings at the show.
The podcasters say attending these events can help attendees. "Come to the educational events. They are geared towards helping you expand your business in a way that allows you to grow the way you hope to,” said Auman.
More than 28,500 industry professionals registered for Equip last year. Registration for the show is only $25 through May 31, 2025 at EquipExposition.com. Additional fees apply for select education and certification classes. Attendees are encouraged to download the Equip Expo app, sponsored by CASE Construction Equipment.
