Kress Commercial Robotics previewed its latest innovation in outdoor power equipment during the company’s NEXT Summit in Colorado Springs on April 3. More than three dozen landscaping executives witnessed the KR800 40” “Cut N Go” robotic mower in action for the first time. They learned about how the emission-free ZTR-replacement fits into landscaping companies’ existing route-based business models and bolsters crew efficiency and profitability.
The Cut N Go mows in the background as crews focus on detailed and more time-consuming landscaping tasks. Cut N Go is designed to navigate residential properties with crews mapping each customer’s lawn once – a simple ride-on process – which empowers Cut N Go to navigate lawns “by memory” each subsequent time it’s deployed, storing infinite property maps.
“Our mission for Kress Commercial Robotics is to be much more than a products company, and instead to be the premier technology provider in our industry,” said Don Gao, founder and CEO of Kress’ parent company Positec. “Our statement to landscapers is that we want to earn your trust by developing the technologies that shift the industry and provide additional avenues for crews to grow profitability. Cut N Go is the latest exclamation point on that statement.”
Cut N Go can mow as many as five acres on one charge and operates at a speed to complete mowing tasks as quickly as, or faster than, other on-property tasks. The mower autonomously loads and unloads from a trailer, or even moves from one property to the next – trailer free – in an HOA-style neighborhood. It features a 5,000-hour operational life and fully integrates into the Kress Fleet Management System. With boundary-wire-free navigation and 360-degree obstacle avoidance on par with autonomous vehicles, Cut N Go avoids people, pets, pools, trees, gardens, toys and lawn furniture.
Kress Commercial’s VP of Product Development, Todd Zimmerman, said at the launch: “Cut N Go marks a major advancement in the business of landscape management and outdoor power equipment. Built for all-day operation with zero emissions, Cut N Go fits seamlessly with any crew that currently uses a ZTR while increasing labor efficiency and protecting crews from breathing harmful emissions.”
As the first autonomous mower with a 40” cutting deck, Cut N Go achieves autonomy using RTK-positioning technology— producing pristine centimeter-level cutting accuracy. Cut N Go also features all day run time and ride-on mode for initial property mapping and commuting across large properties.
Kress will unveil Cut N Go to the broader industry at Equip Expo in October 2025. Sales will begin in 2026 at Kress dealer locations across North America.
