Motorized broom for fast cleanup
The LB540 power broom from Ventrac clears paths of snow, dirt, leaves, gravel and other debris. The broom’s hydraulic cylinder tilts the head left or right and can be controlled from the operator’s seat. Features include adjustable gauge wheels, Ventrac Minute Mount System and a nylon bristle rotor.

Manage rainwater in green fashion
Rain Technologies’ RainTube is an eco-friendly porous tube inserted in rain gutters to prevent debris clogging, a product Sustainable Industries has named a Top 10 Green Building Product of 2009. Made from 100-percent recycled HDPE, it is easily installed by hand on any roof/gutter combination. It collects nearly 100 inches of rain per hour, while blocking debris. It is virtually invisible once installed and comes with a transferable lifetime warranty.

Load bulky landscape equipment easily
Redi Haul tandem axle tiltbeds are useful for loading and transporting heavy-duty landscape equipment to job sites. The tiltbeds have a nine-degree tilt angle and are designed for low-clearance, hard-to-load machines. Each comes with a tilt cushion cylinder, torsion axles with electric brakes, 7,000-pound drop leg landing jack and shock mounted LED lights. Options include a pintle eye hitch, dual locking cylinders and a 12-volt wet cell breakaway battery.

Jonsered blowers easy to operate
Jonsered’s latest hand-held blowers feature a new, slim profile in-line design that provides easier handling and more comfortable operation than previous models. The B 2126 blower weighs just 9.5 pounds and features a large-capacity translucent fuel tank and closely grouped controls for easy operation.

Pruners outperform competition
Corona Clipper’s BP 6590 and BP 3180 hand pruners were found easiest to use and most durable in their respective testing categories by a third-party testing facility. The 3180 features a 1-inch diameter cutting capacity and a replaceable, resharpenable Radial Arc bypass blade. The 6590 model has an ergonomic handle, and a bag ripper and wire cutter add utility.

Riding spread and spray applicator
Tufco’s T3000 applicator enables operators to spread and spray at the same time at 6- or 9-foot widths. Cruise control locks in speed, freeing one hand for spraying or spreading. The sprayer is an adjustable high-pressure system that creates larger droplets for better coverage, less drift and fewer callbacks.

New zero-turn mowers from New Holland
The G5000 series commercial zero-turn radius mowers from New Holland feature decks mounted to the front axle, rather than the frame, allowing the deck to float over changes in ground contour for a clean cut without scalping. A 149-square-inch opening allows grass clippings to spread evenly in an 8-foot pattern without bunching or clumping. Each blade overlaps 11/2 inches to prevent streaking.

New concept in seeding
The Greenscape Conservation Seeder from Belco Resources is neither a grain drill nor a PTO-driven seeder. The machine effectively prepares the soil with two connected spike rollers. Available in 60- and 84-inch widths, the Greenscape will seed into all conditions, including primary turfgrass seeding into prepared soil or overseeding. The attachment requires only a 35-horsepower tractor to operate.

Fungicide brings new value to disease control
Quali-Pro’s Myclobutanil 20 EW fungicide has received EPA approval. A systemic fungicide powered by the active ingredient myclobutanil, a demethylation inhibitor (DMI), the product stops and prevents diseases in residential turfgrass, ornamentals and fruit trees. A single application provides continuous protection of plant and new foliage for up to 28 days.
