Tackle any compacting, digging or transporting project thrown your way with these machines.

Four-stroke engine

General Equipment’s 240 hole digger features four-stroke engine technology. Powered by a 1.6-horsepower Subaru EH035 gas engine, the unit has a Magura twist grip throttle that controls the engine speed. The 240’s all-metal centrifugal clutch slips upon overload or when the auger makes direct contact with a buried obstruction.

Put on the pressure

Compact soil and asphalt or install pavers and patios with BOMAG’s BVP Series single-direction plate compactors. Powered by air-cooled Honda gas engines equipped with low-oil alert, the BVP Series plate compactor is available in two models. The BVP10/36 covers a working width of 14.2 inches, and the BVP18/45 has a working width of 17.7 inches.

Protect equipment

Aluma’s enclosed aluminum tandem axle trailers feature interior lighting, a swivel jack with a 1,200-pound capacity and aluminum floors. A one-piece aluminum roof and a rivetless aluminum skin provide protection from the elements, and interior walls are lined with 5/16-inch plywood to the ceiling.

Speedy skid steer

For a faster travel speed across jobsites, John Deere offers a two-speed option to its mid-frame 318D and 320D skid steer loader models. This option increases speeds up to 11 mph by using a toggle switch on the left-hand joystick. The 318D and 320D skid steers also have a hydraulic fan drive and engine auto-idle.

Powerful hitch

Kioti Tractor’s RX6010C utility tractor is powered by a 59-horsepower turbocharged Daedong diesel engine. Its telescoping Category II three-point hitch provides 3,710 pounds of lifting power, 24 inches aft of the hitch. The RX6010C has a 12-speed mechanical shuttle transmission and reaches up to 19 mph in either forward or reverse.

Resists moisture, corrosion

The DuraClass Yardbird light-duty body has a continuous formed-body sidewall and fully closed top rail. It also features a double-wall body side, full depth rear corner posts and enclosed front corner posts. Yardbird comes standard with quick-release upper tailgate pins, 1/4 cabshield with window and fully welded construction.

Transport materials

With a 67.3-horsepower water-cooled, four-stroke Yanmar engine, LiuGong’s 365A compact loader is also featured in the company’s skid steer line. The unit has a hydrostatic transmission and travel speeds up to 7.6 mph. The 365A has max dump heights ranging from 7 feet 4 inches to 8 feet.

Leaves lighter footprint

Bobcat’s E26 compact excavator has an operating weight of 5,690 pounds and an overall width of 59 inches. The excavator is powered by a 27-horsepower diesel engine that is Interim Tier 4 compliant. The unit’s 0.8 inches of tail overhang allows the machine to fit in tight surroundings, and it leaves a lighter footprint than the 325 and 425 models it replaces.

Material options

The Rugby Eliminator dump bodies are available in 10-gauge steel, aluminum and stainless steel construction. The models have fold-down sides and feature Rugby’s Latch upper tailgate mechanism. The Eliminator-MD model has side- and rear-dump capabilities with a multi-directional dumping hoist.

Reduce emissions

Case Construction Equipment added cooled exhaust gas recirculation (CEGR) emissions-control technology to gain Tier 4 Interim certification on its N Series backhoe. The machines feature 3.4-liter, turbocharged engines ranging from 78 to 108 horsepower. The N Series also includes a standard panel of dipper teeth on the bottom surface of the dipper, along with an optional extension/replacement pack.

Hydraulic protection

Dig holes with minimal damage to the surrounding area with the McMillen 75 Series augers, by Paladin Construction Group. The attachment uses a sealed planetary reduction auger drive and ranges in diameters from 4 to 36 inches. If the auger hits immovable or hard objects while digging, an internal hydraulic relief valve protects the unit and hydraulic system.

Compact performance

With an operating weight of 12,677 pounds, the Takeuchi TW80 wheel loader has a compact design and a 76-net-horsepower engine. The TW80 features a z-pattern lift geometry, 100-percent inching pedal and true-center pivot frame. It also has rigid axles equipped with outboard planetary final drives.
