Bob-Cat says it has updated its commercial zero-turn mowers with more power and improved cutting decks, among other features.

Improvements to the Predator-Pro and ProCat mowers include the manufacturer’s new 61-inch “DuraDeck XF” cutting deck. The mower is now ¾-inch deeper, allowing for more airflow and better dispersal of clippings.

Bob-Cat says the airflow and enhanced baffle system also improve the vacuum and lift of the grass, providing an even better quality of cut.

Meanwhile, on the power front, Bob-Cat upgraded the engine on the 61-inch and 72-inch Predator-Pro models to the Kawasaki FX1000V engine. The ProCat 52-inch mower also got a power boost, moving up from Kawasaki’s FX651V to the engine maker’s FX691V model.

Bob-Cat says it also added smoother controls that are more intuitive, easier to use and offer precise handling on both the Predator-Pro and ProCat mowers.

“We’re always talking to our customers and dealers, figuring out how we can make our mowers even better,” said Bob-Cat’s product manager, Ron Scheffler. “We took their feedback and went above and beyond.”

Bob-Cat, which is owned by Schiller Grounds Care Inc., backs the Predator-Pro and ProCat with an industry leading six-year/2,750-hour limited warranty.
