Greenworks Commercial announced it will join forces with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) Disaster Relief Fund. Greenworks says this was done in an effort to aid golf course maintenance staffs in Texas and throughout the Southeast that were severely impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

“Like the rest of the U.S., we have been following closely the devastation caused by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, so we were eager to help when we learned of the GCSAA’s efforts,” said Chris Allen, president of Greenworks North America. “As large as it may be, we are confident that our tools are up to the task of helping GCSAA members in their clean-up efforts at golf courses in severely impacted areas. We hope that having access to best-in-class, cordless technology can bring some added comfort and convenience to these hard-working people when they need it most.”

Greenworks says it will donate nearly $10,000 worth of its lithium-ion battery-powered, outdoor equipment to golf course superintendents to help with their clean-up jobs once the flood waters have receded.

The company says it will supply its new 82-volt pole saw and its 82-volt chainsaw, along with the necessary batteries and chargers to ensure maximum run-time and power.

The company says that both tools are ideally suited for eliminating problem tree limbs and clearing out other debris littering the course and areas surrounding club amenities.

Norlift, Inc. in Spokane, Washington, announced the newest member of JCB’s growing North American dealer network, Norlift JCB. The dealership is located in the heart of Spokane’s industrial and commercial business district at 512 North Fancher Road.

“We believe that our new association with JCB uniquely positions us for additional success,” said Jay Jarvis, president of Norlift, Inc. “We’ve been in business for almost 50 years, and the customer relationships and name recognition we’ve developed in this market will continue to serve us well. Norlift, Inc. says it has sold material handling equipment to the Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho regions since 1970. As Norlift JCB, the company says it will sell and service JCB’s compact excavators, skid steer loaders, small telehandlers, the JCB teleskid and compact track loaders.

Norlift JCB says it will also offer used equipment acquired via trade-ins and rental fleet sales.

“Norlift, Inc. has been a successful, family-owned business in Spokane for decades,” said Christian Baillie, JCB North America’s vice president of Construction Equipment Dealer Sales. “Over the years, the company has become known for its flexibility, professionalism and top-notch customer service. We feel that Norlift’s core principles match well with JCB’s own approach to business, and we look forward to a solid relationship with them for years to come.”

Michelin Tweel Technologies introduces new products

Michelin Tweel Technologies showcased its new mower products and announced its new distribution outlets during this year’s GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Kentucky.

The company said it introduced a new 26-inch zero-turn (ZTR) mower size for four-bolt wheel-pattern hubs; a new 18-inch stand-on mower size for a 2018 John Deere model; a new partnership with Sunbelt Outdoor Products for Michelin X Tweel Turf replacement tires; and the addition of Ag-Pro as a distributor for X Tweel Turf products.

“Michelin continues to demonstrate the forward momentum of this award-winning airless tire through the growth of the product portfolio and distribution network,” said Olivier Brauen, head of Michelin Tweel Technologies. “With uptime so crucial for our customers, the Michelin X Tweel airless radial tire provides an unparalleled solution. Building relationships in the market is our goal.”

The company says that Scag and other operators of ZTR mowers utilizing a 26-inch, four-bolt pattern rear wheel will now be able to buy the no-compromise airless solution for their commercial mowers.

The company says the black hub version of the Michelin X Tweel Turf is a single unit that replaces the current tire/wheel/valve assembly, and Michelin says it is available through the Tweel dealer network. Michelin says it performs like a pneumatic tire without the risk and downtime associated with flat tires and unseated beads.

Michelin says the new 18-inch Michelin X Tweel Turf will be featured on the 2018 John Deere QuikTrak stand-on commercial lawn mowers. The company says the four-bolt pattern yellow hub is also available in the 24-inch Michelin X Tweel Turf, designed exclusively for the John Deere ZTrak 900 series mowers with 54-, 60- and 72-inch deck sizes.

Michelin says it is excited to collaborate with Sunbelt Outdoor Products. The company says this distributor will become a partner to sell Michelin X Tweel Turf mower and golf cart products.
