Landscape Irrigation Contractor class set for Feb. 24-25

Irrigation associationThe Irrigation Association will play host to a Landscape Irrigation Contractor class next month at the association’s new offices in Fairfax, Virginia.

Set for Feb. 24-25, the class offers a comprehensive refresher for experienced contractors. The cost is $275 for Irrigation Association members and $325 for non-members and includes the manual for the class. Each of the two sessions will last from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

According to an Irrigation Association news release, the class instructor will review soil-water-plant relationships, hydraulics, basic electricity, grounding, pumps, job safety requirements, relevant building codes, scheduling, water-use efficiency and system uniformity.

This advanced course for landscapers is worth 16 continuing education units and is recommended for individuals who are preparing to take the Certified Irrigation Contractor exam.
