The company says these models are ideal for landscape/snow removal, ag material handling and construction tasks.
“Our next generation of compact wheel loaders was designed to meet the needs of industry professionals who are demanding higher performance from their machines,” says Drew Miller, product marketing manager, compact wheel loaders, John Deere Construction & Forestry. “Tailor-made for tight spaces, the 244L and 324L use our proprietary articulation plus system to provide greater stability and yield more lifting power while turning tighter.”
John Deere says the articulation plus steering system on the 244L and 324L provides operators a combination of lift capacity and maneuverability. This feature, the company says, includes an articulated frame plus rear-wheel steer, providing full-turn tip load and stability with a tight turning radius.
John Deere says newly optimized linkage provides improved parallel lifting with only 6 degrees of rollback. The company says the 244L achieves an 8-foot, 3-inch full-lift dump height and a full-turn tip load of 8,157 lbs., while the 324L with high lift reaches a 10-foot, 3-inch height. The company adds that standard lift is capable of a full-turn top load of 9,766 lbs.
John Deere says the new models allow operators to move faster without having to manually shift the machine, and a smooth auto shift hydrostatic transmission is coupled with an automatic two-speed gearbox, which the company says provides a faster travel speed of up to 23 mph. Both models, the company says, are equipped with 73-horsepower final tier 4 engines.
The company says that these models offer a redesigned cab and an optional air ride, high-back operator seat. The company says that overall efficiency is increased with better visibility to the loader arm and bucket and interior layout of the switches and gauges.
For greater uptime, John Deere says a rear enclosure provides better debris management, while a revamped cooling package improves air flow. To keep operating costs at a minimum, the company says rim pull control extends tire life by allowing customers to adjust the torque of the machine to the conditions of their job sites.
John Deere says optional JDLink telematics provide real-time data and health prognostics to suggest maintenance solutions that decrease downtime. The company says remote diagnostics enable a dealer to read codes, record performance data and update software without going to the job site.
Oregon launches 120V professional series
Photo: OregonOregon has announced the release of its 120V professional series. The company says the line includes a leaf blower, a string trimmer, a hedge trimmer and an edger.
Oregon says the 120V battery-powered tools are up to 15 percent more powerful than gas-fueled equipment while operating more quietly. The company adds that the 120V professional series also produces zero emissions and is the only set of battery powered tools with certification from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) as Professional Grade Zero Emission Equipment.
“Creating environmentally friendly equipment with the same strength and reliability as gas-fueled equipment is a huge step forward for Oregon and the entire industry,” says Josh Huffman, business segment director for Oregon’s outdoor power equipment. “The emissions produced by small engines can be significant. Operating a standard gas-fueled leaf blower for one hour can produce as many harmful emissions as driving a car 1,100 miles. That’s concerning when you consider how many landscaping and grounds crews operate them on a daily basis across the country. That’s why we’re proud to provide a cleaner alternative with our 120V Professional Series that combats both air and noise pollution.”

Turfco announces new seeder attachment
Turfco has introduced a new 30-inch drop seeder attachment for its TurnAer XT8 stand-on aerator. The company says the attachment allows crews to save time by requiring just one pass to both aerify and seed sports fields or turf.
Photo: Turfco“At this time when productivity is king, the new attachment allows landscapers to easily add a new service for customers and increase revenue, while actually decreasing time spent on individual yards,” says Scott Kinkead, executive vice-president of Turfco. “Previously, this was a two-part process that required operators to go over yards twice to aerate and seed. Now, operators can get it done all at once.”
Turfco says the seeder attachment mounts directly to the front of the TurnAer XT8 and has a 30-inch seeding width that matches the aerating width, eliminating wasted seed.
The company says the attachment is fully integrated with the machine and includes controls to adjust the drop rate. Turfco says the attachment holds up to 65 pounds of seed and includes a window so operators can see when it’s time for a refill.
The TurnAer XT8 was introduced in late 2016 and has the following features:

Cemen Tech announces new line of dump trailers
Cemen Tech recently introduced two new dump trailers: the DT-100 and DT-200.
The company says they are ideal for hauling concrete, sand, stone, mulch and other materials, and are designed for use in residential building projects, rental yards, landscaping applications and other small- to mid-size jobs.

The company says that DOT-approved lighting ensures safety and compliance on the road, while heavy-duty fenders, one-piece rubber splash guard and supporting tongue cross bars provide added durability. Cemen Tech adds that an adjustable load-leveling hitch maximizes tow capacity and provides a smooth, level ride with towing materials.
