Rain Bird announces irrigation training schedule

Updated Feb 19, 2013

Irrigation and green industry professionals interested in enhancing their knowledge and skill sets have a variety of irrigation training courses to choose from in the Sunshine State this summer. Rain Bird Services set the dates and locations of Rain Bird Academy’s 2012 summer irrigation training camps in Florida.

Rain Bird Academy will offer its irrigation Boot Camp classes at each Florida location. The Rain Bird Boot Camp is four days of core irrigation classes that provide in-depth, hands-on training on design, installation, troubleshooting and maintaining.

Most courses count for continuing education units (CEUs) from professional organizations such as the Irrigation Association (IA), the United States Green Building Council’s LEED program, PLANET, the Landscape Architectural Continuing Educational System and many other state and local organizations.

Scheduled for July 16-20, Rain Bird Academy’s Professional Irrigation Training Camp (PITC) will be held at the University of Florida’s Mid-Florida Research and Education Center just 15 minutes from Disney World in Orlando. The Professional Irrigation Training Camp features 25 courses during five days, providing landscape and golf irrigation professionals with expert instruction on the latest irrigation products, newest installation methods and best practices in irrigation design.

Rain Bird Academy is also offering a variety of Regional Training Camps throughout Florida. Scheduled for four to five days, the regional events are condensed versions of the Professional Camp, with an abridged schedule of irrigation courses. Dates and locations include:
