Scrapbook – August 2009

Project:
Private residence, Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Landscaping:
Bishop’s Landscaping, Tuscaloosa, Alabama

The homeowners initially wanted to be able to walk from their driveway to the pool area without having to go through the carport. Bishop’s Landscaping dug out the slope behind the carport and brought it down to grade so concrete could be poured for the walkway. They then built a retaining wall, using Keystone Country Manor stone, to frame the walkway, support trees, and add dimension to the backyard. Add-ons, including a water fountain, fire pit, outdoor seating area and additional plantings, created a tranquil area to relax or entertain.
