Evan John Groom, owner of Groom Landscaping in Moodus is the winner of Total Landscape Care magazine’s Landscaper’s Dream Package sweepstakes worth over $65,000.
Total Landscape Care is a national publication with a circulation of over 70,000 targeting professional landscapers. For the third year TLC has worked with several partner-sponsors on putting together a prize package designed to supplement the winner’s tools of the trade. This program is promoted in the magazine, on their Web site, and at industry trade shows.
“The Dream Package is an excellent way for the sponsor to give something back to the industry that supports them on a very personal level,” said TLC Publisher Dan Tidwell. “It absolutely builds good will and helps strengthen relationships all around.” This year’s Dream Package contains a John Deere model CT315 compact track loader; a Dixie Chopper propane-powered zero-turn mower; an EZY-Lift hoist to retro-fit the back of a pickup truck; several Dolmar Power Products, including a chain saw, backpack blower, and trimmers; Alturnamats ground protection mats; Drafix Pro Landscape design software; an EZ Trench power edger; and an assortment of STA-BIL fuel stabilizers.
Evan Groom was presented his Dream Package at W.I. Clark Company on December 9. Clark is the local John Deere dealer in Wallingford, Connecticut.
“I was sitting home on a rainy day, and was reading the magazine. I saw the announcement for the Landscaper’s Dream Package and decided to go online and register. I filled out all the forms and sent it off,” Groom said. “My business has been absolutely changed thanks to Total Landscape Care magazine and all the sponsors. I didn’t get over-excited until I got here today, and everything was here. It’s been an amazing day.”
