Exmark launched its second generation Tractus non-pneumatic tire system yesterday at the Equip Expo trade show in Louisville, KY.
According to Exmark marketing manager, Lenny Mangnall, the revamped Tractus system features an increased load rating to more easily handle the loads landscape pros put on them.
“Our customers love the traction, durability and ride quality benefits Tractus tires bring to the table,” Mangnall said. “We saw the opportunity to make the overall system more robust while keeping the virtues customers liked most about the system.
“For these customers, the second-generation Tractus system is a clear step forward.”
The non-pneumatic Tractus design eliminates flat tires, while delivering up to a five times longer lifespan than conventional pneumatic tires. The larger contact patch Tractus tires provide increased traction while reducing ground pressure for reduced turf compaction. The lambda design of the new Tractus system also offers a smoother ride quality than pneumatic tires over rough terrain.
The second-generation Tractus tires feature a new grey rim that is consistent with the color scheme of Exmark’s premier Lazer Z X-Series zero-turn mower.
