Applause, the employee engagement and performance platform built for field service organizations, today announced a new partnership with TRUCE Software, the employee-first performance and safety platform that transforms mobile devices into AI-powered telematics.
The integration brings TRUCE driving metrics directly into Applause Scorecards, giving technicians real-time visibility into their driving performance alongside other key performance indicators. Organizations can use these insights to improve coaching, increase accountability, and connect safe driving achievements to incentive programs and bonuses.
Together, Applause and TRUCE help organizations build safer, more accountable teams by making driving performance a transparent, measurable, and rewardable part of everyday work.
Unlike traditional vehicle-centric telematics systems, TRUCE delivers employee-focused safety insights through the mobile devices technicians already use every day, cutting the cost of video-telematics by roughly half. Drivers access both TRUCE and Applause directly on their phones, and because both are mobile-native, their driving metrics are always employee-specific and flow automatically into Applause Scorecards. This lets employees track their personal performance in real time and spot opportunities to improve, while managers and administrators no longer have to reconcile driver and vehicle scores.
Managers can reward positive driving behaviors through Applause incentive programs while balancing driving performance and safety alongside customer experience, productivity, and other business-critical KPIs.
"At Applause, we believe employees perform better when they understand expectations and are recognized for achieving them," said Joel Ragar, Co-Founder and VP of Product at Applause. "By bringing TRUCE's driving data into technician scorecards, we're giving field teams greater visibility into their performance while helping organizations encourage safer driving through coaching, recognition, and incentives."
"Driving performance and safety programs are most effective when employees can see their personal skills in things like leaderboard rankings and goal progress. Understanding their actions drives personal improvement that is maintained at scale," said David Coleman, Head of Commercial Solutions at TRUCE. "Our partnership with Applause turns driving data into real-time personalized insights that help organizations recognize, reward, and reinforce safe and efficient driving."
The Applause and TRUCE integration is available immediately for mutual customers.
