Husqvarna expanded its professional chainsaw lineup earlier this year with the highly anticipated 564 XP and 550i XP chainsaws. Designed for forestry and tree care professionals, the new chainsaws showcase Husqvarna's continued leadership in professional cutting equipment, delivering breakthrough innovations across both gas and battery powered platforms.
Leading the launch is the new Husqvarna 564 XP, Husqvarna's first fuel-injected chainsaw. Built for professionals who demand maximum productivity without sacrificing maneuverability, the 60cc chainsaw combines the power of a 70cc saw with the compact body of a 50cc platform.
Advanced fuel injection technology and a newly designed short stroke engine provide lightning-fast acceleration, optimized fuel delivery, and consistent power across changing operating conditions, while a refined engine design delivers the lowest vibration levels of any Husqvarna gas saw, helping reduce operator fatigue during long workdays without compromising durability.
“The 564 XP represents a leap forward in professional chainsaw technology, bringing breakthrough low pressure fuel injection to Husqvarna’s portfolio while delivering the power and maneuverability operators need,” said Gent Simmons, president of Husqvarna Forest and Garden, North America. “It’s an example of how we continue to challenge ourselves to make the work easier and more productive. We’re applying that same approach to battery technology with the new 550i XP.”
Joining the lineup is the Husqvarna 550i XP, Husqvarna's most powerful battery chainsaw, engineered to deliver professional grade cutting performance with the benefits of battery technology. Delivering power comparable to a 50cc gas chainsaw, the 550i XP combines an exceptional power-to-weight ratio with a slim, lightweight design that excels in both tree care and forestry applications.
The 550i XP intelligently optimizes performance based on the battery being used, allowing professionals to prioritize maneuverability with the lighter B330X battery or maximize power and runtime with the higher-capacity B540X battery. An enhanced graphical display provides real-time battery status, product health, and operating information, while active cooling technology and an IPX4 weather resistant design help ensure dependable performance in challenging jobsite conditions.
"I've run just about every generation of Husqvarna professional saws over the years, and both of these saws stand out," said Johnny Korthuis, Board Certified Master Arborist and Husqvarna H Team member. "The 564 XP is wildly responsive and puts out far more power than its modest size would suggest. The 550i XP gives me that same confidence I've loved for years in our battery platform, now in a larger duty package that comes in handy whether climbing or working from the ground."
Together, the 564 XP® and 550i XP reinforce Husqvarna's commitment to delivering professionals the right tool for every application, whether they prefer the proven performance of gasoline or the advantages of battery powered equipment.
