Honda Power Equipment introduced a new commercial mower and two open-frame inverter generators designed to fill marketplace gaps at GIE+EXPO.

The HRC216K3HDA is the third model in the HRC lineup and is self-propelled. The new commercial mower can be started from behind the mower and the flywheel break allows the operator to stop the engine and the blades by letting go of the brake lever on the handle.

It also features the Honda MircoCut Twin Blade System, which uses four cutting surfaces to create finer clippings. The model has a 21-inch steel cutting deck and boasts of maneuverability due to its operating weight of 121 pounds.

“This new Honda self-propelled commercial mower expands the popular Honda HRC product line from two models to three, offering more choices of premium, reliable Honda lawn mowers to the professional landscape market,” said Michael Rudolph, vice president for the Honda Power Equipment Division.

The mower comes with a one-year commercial warranty, one year for the frame and two years for the engine. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is $1,149. The Honda HRC216K3HDA will be available in November 2016.

Honda also introduced inverter generators, EB2800i and the EG2800i, as the first Honda generators to be assembled in the United States. While the EG2800i is a consumer model, the EB2800i is designed to be an industrial product that provides quiet, high-quality power in a lightweight package.

With a dry weight of less than 67 pounds, the EB2800i is portable enough for a single worker to load and unload it. It can support multiple hand tools, electric concrete vibrators, circular saws, and concrete drills. The EB2800i also complies with OSHA and LA-ETL regulations.

The generators are powered by the Honda GC190 four-stroke engine, which is engineered for reduced noise and fuel consumption. It also features Oil Alert, which automatically stops the engine if the oil level drops below a safe limit, preventing engine damage.

The MSRP for the EB2800i is $1,149.95 and it carries a one-year commercial warranty.
