Hustler Turf Equipment recently introduced a new stand-on commercial mower product line. At the same time, the company unveiled a new product in its Raptor family of mowers, which are targeted to consumers rather than professional landscapers.

The new stand-on mower, the Hustler SS, is available in four deck sizes. Its frame and deck, Hustler says, are the most reliable in the mower’s product category. The company says operator comfort is enhanced by ergonomic controls as well as Hustler’s “SmoothTrak” steering system.

The compact stance of the SS is advantageous in tight spaces and when trailering, Hustler says. A patent is pending on the machine’s design.

The company’s director of product strategy, Brad Unruh, says commercial contractors “will be impressed” with the mower’s heavy-duty capabilities. Hustler designed the SS after talking with “dealers and end users from coast to coast,” Unruh said.

In launching the new stand-on mower, Hustler also introduced a new model in its Raptor line for consumers, the Raptor Limited 52-inch.

Hustler Turf Equipment and Big Dog Mower Co. machines are manufactured by Excel Industries in Hesston, Kansas.
