New Products for 2012

Updated Mar 4, 2013

From trustworthy trackers to irrigation illustrations, here are new and interesting products to start the new year off right.

Track jobsites with phoneManage employees and equipment using the ExakTime PocketClock/GPS, a mobile time- and equipment-tracking app for iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry and Windows mobile smartphones and tablets. Employees can use their phone or tablet to snap a photo of themselves using their camera and the FaceFront Biometrics photo verification feature, which prevents employees from clocking in for one another. The bookkeeper can then match the employees’ field photo with their master photos stored in the office.

The ExakTime’s equipment-tracking feature maintains a history of where the equipment has been and allows you to capture photos, notes and voice recordings from the field. Simply assign a piece of equipment to an employee and worksite, and the software tracks it in real-time. The software also supports three languages: English, Spanish and French.

Stay warm, dryKeep your hands warm and dry this winter with Youngstown Glove’s Waterproof Winter Plus gloves. Blocking out wind, water and cold, these gloves are lined with micro-fleece and finished with a form-fitting outer shell for maximum protection. Internal knuckle protection is also built into the top of the gloves, as well as padded protection to ward off nicks and scrapes.
Illustrate irrigationIrrigate synthetic sports fields with Underhill International’s M-160 Total Solutions Kits. The kits include AutoCad irrigation system illustrations and irrigation components. Landscapers can then plug in the AutoCad drawings into a field layout, while having a ready-to-install mechanical system with site-specific products and schematics. The long-throw sprinkler covers up to 174 feet.
Protect your engineProtect your equipment’s engine this winter with Bell Performance’s X-tra Lube One Shot premium fuel additive. One Shot shields your engine from wear caused by cold starts in sporadic-use engines. Its metal-based lubrication shields the engine with particles that do not produce acid.
Chip awayTipping the scales at less than 4,700 pounds, Rayco’s 12-inch-capacity chipper is powered by an 89-horsepower GM gasoline engine. Its 20-inch-diameter feed wheel is driven by a planetary hydraulic drive motor with torque to climb over logs and pull in brush. Rayco’s X-Charge discharge fan maximizes discharge velocity to prevent plugging.
Suck it upClean up debris such as metal chips, dirt, dust and powder with the Guardair 1500 Gun Vac Series. Running entirely off of compressed air, this handheld vacuum is available in three models (1500, 1510, 1548) and has a cast-aluminum body. They also have 1 1/4-inch tapered vacuum inlets and a built-in hanging eyelet.
Forward, reverse compactionUsed in backfills and with interlocking paving stones, the Weber MT’s CR 6 H walk-behind soil compactor is powered by a Hatz diesel engine. The CR 6 H ranges from 18 to 28 inches wide and delivers a compaction force of 11,250 pounds to the soil. A hydraulic shifter is provided for forward and reverse travel.
