The National Association of Landscape Professionals has launched a new website, LoveYourLandscape.org, targeting consumers and giving them plenty of motivation to hire a landscape contractor.

NALP says the new website is the cornerstone of its national consumer outreach program, which is driven in turn by the association’s Industry Growth Initiative (IGI).

The new website has nearly 150 articles, photo galleries and videos, and new content will be added each month, NALP says.

Among the main links from the homepage of LoveYourLandscape.org is “Hiring a Pro,” which provides visitors an easy way to search for reputable landscapers in their area. Members of NALP are included in the search database.

The website provides numerous landscaping ideas, including this photograph provided by The LaurelRock Co. of Wilton, Connecticut. The website provides numerous landscaping ideas, including this photograph provided by The LaurelRock Co. of Wilton, Connecticut.

“LoveYourLandscape looks and feels like major consumer websites like HGTV.com, with great information and photos, but the difference is that ours has the strength of industry messaging behind it, touts the benefits of lawns and managed landscapes, and highlights the need to hire a professional,” said Sabeena Hickman, chief executive of NALP.

“This site is the first project produced by the IGI, which is tasked with growing and protecting the industry.”

Many of the photos on the new website are of projects that won awards through the association’s Awards of Excellence.

“We encourage all industry professionals to share the content on the website and social media platforms,” said Missy Henriksen, vice president of public affairs for NALP. “It’s important to collectively promote the professionalism in our industry and make sure the public knows that amazing landscapes are designed and created by experienced professionals – and by doing that we will increase the market share, visibility, and respect for our industry.”

In addition to LoveYourLandscape.org, your potential clients will be able to find the content on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
