Roadtec announces the increased volume of fuel tanks on it™s RP-170 and RP-190 tire pavers and its RP-175 and RP-195 track pavers. The 8-ft (2.4 meters) wide models RP-170 and RP-175 received an increase of about 30%, bringing the fuel capacity of the two models to 90 gallons (341 liters) and 95 gallons (360 liters) respectively. The 10-ft (3 meters) wide models RP-190 and RP-195 can carry 20% more fuel than before with a capacity of 120 gallons (454 liters).
The added fuel capacity allows paving crews more uninterrupted hours of work without the need to refuel. Roadtec also cites the position of the fuel tank right above the drive tires on rubber-tired machines as greatly enhancing tractive effort.
