McCloskey International, a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative screening and crushing products, is pleased to announce that Kansas-based RoadBuilders Machinery and Supply Co., Inc. has become the official distributor of the McCloskey line for the states of Kansas and Nebraska and portions of Missouri.
“Our acquisition of the McCloskey line of products will help us meet the niche needs of our customers with equipment that our existing lines can”t,” says Joel Johnson, Roadbuilders” Aggregate sales manager. “Having McCloskey trommels, screeners and conveyors in stock is definetly going to opwn up new markets for us, particulary in the aggrgate area with new cutomers in landfill applications and government contrats.”
Founded in 1985, RoadBuilders Machinery and Cupply Co., Inc. operates out of five branches- three in Nebraska, one in Kansas, and its newest location, Mid-West Equipment, in Springfield, Missouri. In addition to McCloskey, the firm represents over 20 other manufactures of construction and heavy equipment, including SENNEBOGEN, Esco and Komatsu.
RoadBuilders” customers typically fall linto three major areas: contractors, the aggregate industry and the steel and scrap metal sectors. Johnson says that having product specialists in each of these areas gives RoadBuilders a competetice advantage over its competitiors.”We feel that our sales staff is very knowledeable in the products we carry and the industry segments we serve,” says Johnson. “Our large inventory of new and used sales and rental equipment, combined with our product support and service, plus our full scale engine rebuild machine shop for repair needs to all brands, makes us one of the Midwest.”
Johnson says that he has been well aware of McCloskey International and watched the company”s progress for the last few years. “The McCloskey designers have introduced some innovative products and changes that have really caught my eye and I thought our customers should have access dto them. That”s what made our decision to become a McClsokey distributor so attractive.
“In addition to including the McCloskey line in its advertising and marketing, RoadBuilders hopes to be able to include some McCloskey machinery at an Open House scheduled for October at Mid-West Equipment, its new Springfield, Missouri location. Johnson says that RoadBuilders is presently reviewing its parts and service needs and capabilities before bringing in any McCloskey inventory.
