CONCRETE VIBRATORS FROM DOOSAN INFRACORE PORTABLE POWER ROUND OUT THE CONCRETE LINEUP

Updated Oct 22, 2010

STATESVILLE, N.C. – Consolidation of concrete in forms is made easier with concrete vibrators from Doosan Infracore Portable Power. Four models of concrete vibrators are available  – PL15E, PL20E, PL30E, and PL25BP and offer contractors the right mid-frequency and force characteristics required to set particles in motion fast, for rapid consolidation of homogeneous mixes.

All four models of concrete vibrators are designed to maintain optimum frequency regardless of slump, head size, or other load factors. Optimum frequency avoids the possibility of destroying important pressure-relief chains produced by small air bubbles. These relief chains are known to resist damage during freeze-thaw cycles in colder climates.

These models are designed and built to withstand jobsite stresses. Their electric motors are protected by a high-strength cast-aluminum housing that also dissipates potentially damaging heat. The shock-absorbing frame of the concrete vibrators protects the housing while acting as a convenient carrying handle for the unit. These units come standard with watertight, strain-relief power cords and the power switches are protected by the frame.

Built for the busy contractor and a wide range of rental applications, these concrete vibrators have a high level of centrifugal force and amplitude created by rotating eccentric weights within the head at the desired frequency. The vibrator heads are factory-sealed and maintenance-free. Doosan Infracore Portable Power offers various vibrator heads, ranging in diameter from 0.75 to 2.5 inches. Diameter is selected by the scope of the job and the speed required.

Doosan Infracore Portable Power concrete vibrators are available with either electric- or gas-powered sources – the electric units are available from 1.5 to 3 horsepower. A gasoline-powered 2.5 horsepower backpack unit is also available. All electrical systems are UL- and cUL-approved. Gas units are ideal for more remote locations – running a unit is a one-person operation with no air hoses or electrical cords to get tangled in.

Contractors can choose from a variety of heavy-duty standard and pencil flex shafts, from two feet to 21 feet. Lengths up to 42 feet are available via simple shaft couplers. Heavy-duty shafts are used where deeper penetration is required. Lighter-duty shafts are available for applications where better flexibility is required.

Components are interchangeable so that both contractors and rental organizations can put the right combination on the job quickly. The following components are designed to be interchangeable.

¢ Three electric units from 1.5 to 3 horsepower, plus 2.5 horsepower gas backpack unit

¢ Flexible shaft lengths between two feet and 21 feet, or up to 42 feet with connectors

¢ Vibrator head diameters from 0.75 to 2.5 inches
