TAC PROVIDES REAL ANSWERS IN REAL TIME

Allison Transmission has built a reputation on designing, engineering and producing the highest quality, most durable, dependable and best value fully automatic transmissions for a wide variety of vocational applications. But, it doesn™t stop there. Allison is committed to providing the absolute best continuing customer service and support possible, too. A prime example is the Technical Assistance Call Center (TAC). It was established to answer distributor and dealer service questions and to build a robust database that allows quick, on-target answers as well as early detection of any service issues.

TAC provides quick assistance to questions about all Allison 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 Product Family Vocational Models as well as AT, MT and HT models. It™s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls to the toll-free TAC line, 800-252-5283, average around 150 a day with a monthly total of 3,000 to 3,500 calls.

It is staffed with highly experienced, typically ASE certified, technicians who”ve “been there, done that” when it comes to transmission service. Beyond providing prompt, expert answers, TAC”s ultimate goal is better-informed, more satisfied service technicians in the field.

While most calls are from distributor and dealer service personnel, TAC also fields calls from end-users. TAC answers general questions, such as fluid levels and diagnostic codes. For more complex issues, the TAC rep involves a distributor or dealer near the caller”s location.
