LAS VEGAS, March 11, 2008 – Because 85 percent of hand-held welding costs are labor related, Bernard®designed its Q-Gunline to minimize welding downtime. To solve welding related problems, maximize productivity and improve its customer™s bottom line, the Bernard® Q-Gun has been restructured and improved with new handles, trigger options, amperage configurations and simplified consumables.

A patent pending straight handle torch offers improved ergonomics, while additional trigger and switch options allow the user to choose between locking trigger, dual pull trigger, dual schedule switch and trigger extension.  Bernard Q-Guns come in 150, 200, 300, 400, 500 and 600 amp models.  They can be used in mixed gas applications and are rated at 100 percent duty cycle with CO2 gas.  Five unique torch handles are offered to suit any hand-held, air-cooled industrial welding application, and both rotating and fixed necks are available on all Q-Guns. In addition, patented Jump Liner technology reduces replacement liner costs by 65 percent.

The CustomSelect ordering system is available for all Q-Guns and allows easy and precise configuration of a gun.  Using the CustomSelect ordering system, operators may choose to attach Centerfire consumables to their Q-Guns.  Through their revolutionary design, Centerfire series gas diffusers, contact tips and nozzles bring superior performance and reduced downtime to all Q-Guns.
