New 21 lb. Miller SpectrumÆ 625 X-TREME Plasma Cutter Redefines 40-Amp Portability, Versatility

Miller™s 40-amp Spectrum 625 X-TREME plasma cutterpacks a 5/8-in cut rating into a 21-lb. package, making it light enough to be carried by its shoulder strap and small enough to be easily packed away for transport or storage.

Highlights/Key Facts:

40-amp unit weighs just 21 lbs., light enough to be carried by its shoulder strap

At 12 inches per minute, cuts 5/8-in. mild steel; cuts º-in. steel at 60 inches per minute.

Automatic Air Regulation automatically adjusts torch air pressure for optimum cutting and gouging performance. No need for pressure gauge or manual regulator knob on the unit.

Auto-Refire eliminates retriggering when cutting fences, grates and other expanded metal.

Line Voltage Compensation provides rock-steady output even with fluctuations in input power.

Ideal for body shop, light construction, maintenance and personal-use applications

APPLETON, Wis., March 4, 2009”With today™s introduction of the SpectrumÆ 625 X-TREME, Miller Electric Mfg. Co.has redefined the 40-amp plasma cutter category. The Spectrum 625 X-TREME provides a powerful 5/8-in. cut rating on mild steel, but, at 21 lbs., this lunchbox-sized unit is light enough to be carried by its shoulder strap. With an overall size of 9 in. x 5.5-in. x 13.25 in., the Spectrum 625 X-TREME takes up minimal space on the workbench or in the truck. It is more than 400-percent smaller and 50-percent lighter than the 40-amp unit it replaces. The SpectrumÆ 625 X-TREME is ideal for body shop, light construction, maintenance and personal-use applications.

While designed to professional standards for construction, MRO and body shop applications, the Spectrum 625 X-TREME is also ideal for personal users who desire portability, reliability and a 5/8in. rated cut capacity. Rated cutting capacity is the speed at which an operator achieves a smooth, steady cut at approximately 10 inches per minute (IPM). On thinner materials, the unit™s travel speed is increased for greater productivity. For example, on º-in. mild steel, travel speed increases to 60 IPM.
