Once a male-dominated profession, the playing field has been leveled as more women graduate with degrees in horticulture and landscape architecture and with technology advances.

Best defense against turfgrass disease
Proper cultural practices are the best defense against turfgrass disease and the misapplication of fungicides. There are some 100 different diseases that affect turfgrass, each with a different method of cure and prevention. Trying to customize a program that defends against each specific disease would be impossible.
