The American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) and the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) have asked members of Congress to sign a discharge petition filed by Rep. Charles Boustany. The petition is titled the “Save Our Small and Seasonal Businesses Act of 2007.”
Because Congress failed to renew the H-2B returning worker exemption, many landscape businesses are already suffering. It is estimated that millions of dollars in revenue has already been lost this year.
Congress must act immediately for the approximately 2,800 landscape companies who participate in H-2B to recover any of the spring season.
