APLD elects new leaders

The Association of Professional Landscape Designers has elected Patrick Bones of Brighton Design in Tulsa, Oklahoma, APLD president for 2007. Bones served as president-elect in 2006 and has been chair of his chapter since 2002.

Bones will take over for past president Judy DePue beginning January 1. Samuel Salsbury of Salsbury-Schweyer in Akron, Ohio, will serve as the new president-elect. The association’s secretary-treasurer will be Kathy Stokes-Shafer of Garden Graphics in Strongsville, Ohio.

“One of the greatest benefits of being involved with APLD is the continuing education to improve my skills as a professional landscape designer and creating relationships with landscape designers from around the world,” Bones says.
