Golf superintendent wins painting in Agrotain drawing

Steve Scarborough, superintendent at Bakersfield Country Club in Bakersfield, California, won “Southern Haven,” the third painting in the “Artistry of Golf” collection commissioned by Agrotain to demonstrate appreciation for the hard work and dedication of golf course superintendents.

Scarborough entered the drawing for the painting, Sandra Cashman Schmieder’s rendering of the sixteenth hole of the Riverside course at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Atlanta, at the 2007 Golf Industry Show in Anaheim, California. Agrotain also awarded Ken Mangum, superintendent of the Atlanta Athletic Club, with a framed, signed and numbered artist print. Commemorative posters were given to each superintendent who visited the Agrotain booth at the Golf Industry Show.
