Water-resistant tractor line from Branson
Branson Tractor’s 00 series includes five four-wheel-drive models. The line ranges from 21 to 28 horsepower at 2600 rpm. Each model has a main shift lever, simplified panel display and sloped flip-up hood for easy access for maintenance. Designed for wet and dry conditions, packing and seals are water resistant. In-line fuel pumps are lubricated by engine oil to provide better fuel efficiency.
Pure white variety of hydrangeas available in 2009
Forever & Ever Hydrangea has added a new white variety to its blooming hydrangea collection. ‘White Out’ has large 8-inch mop head blooms. The new variety blooms from early to mid-summer until frost in Hardiness Zones 5-9. ‘White Out’ can grow to 28 inches tall and 25 inches wide and works well in containers, beds and borders.
Monitor tire pressure with indicator
The Doran 360HD tire pressure monitoring system can monitor up to 36 tires for trucks and trailers. The system uses wireless tire pressure sensors screwed onto valve stems, which send signals to the monitor in the cab, and multiple alarms alert the driver to a problem. The Green-Means-Good indicator provides drivers with at-a-glance status updates, and a sleep mode monitors pressure when the ignition is off.
Kubota adds tractor to BX series
Kubota’s BX2660 sub-compact tractor is an all-purpose machine for mowing, landscaping and hauling. Powered by a 25.5-horsepower Kubota diesel engine, the four-wheel-drive tractor has a two-range hydrostatic transmission. Other features of the tractor include halogen headlights for a longer workday and a 6.6-gallon fuel tank. The BX2660 includes a Category I three-point hitch.
Zero emissions lawn mower
The Big Mow is a battery-powered robotic lawn mower. The zero emissions mower recharges itself automatically and is guided by an onboard computer. Covering five to seven acres, the Big Mow is equipped with sonar. If the mower detects an object, it will slow down, touch the object and turn to go another direction.
Protect cable and create a safe work environment
The 112WCL Series welding cable reel from Coxreels is designed with an integrated drag brake/reel stop to avoid freewheeling and cable uncoiling during storage and transport. The reel handles up to 100 feet of 2/0-gauge welding cable, and the cable keeper feature prevents the cable tail from whipping or twisting.
Two Kioti tractors available with cabs
Kioti’s DK40 and DK45 hydrostatic transmission tractors are now equipped with cabs. Featuring the same components of the previous models, the 41- and 45-horsepower models can be used year-round despite weather. New cab models include heating, air conditioning, high visibility glass, front and rear wipers, front and rear working lights and exterior and interior rearview mirrors.
Jointing sand for commercial and residential applications
Quikrete PowerLoc Jointing Sand is a non-staining, polymer-modified, graded sand used to sweep into paving stone joints. Compatible with interlocking pavers, bricks, patio blocks and concrete slabs, the sand provides a stable surface resistant to erosion, weed growth and insects. Approximate coverage per 50-pound bag is between 50 and 55 square feet of tumbled pavers or between 85 and 90 square feet of regular pavers.
Illuminate paths or backlight signs
The PL-17 L-shape path light from Focus Industries can be used to light paths or mounted to provide backlighting for signs or address numbers. The PL-17 has a rectangular 3×12 beam spread and can be cut to a length from 3 feet to 10 feet tall. Available in aluminum or brass with multiple powder coat finishes.
V-Plows’ design offers protection from obstacles
Hiniker’s line of trip-edge V-Plows features a pinch-free pivot point located nine inches above ground level to protect against higher obstacles such as curbs and parking barriers. Each side of the plow trips independently producing smoother tripping action, and 12 laser-cut ribs are built into the plow’s structure to provide strength in heavy-duty applications.
Keep tools organized inside trailers
Novae Corporation developed a hand tool holder for its Gridiron product line. The tool rack is designed to hold heavy-duty straight handle tools such as shovels and rakes neatly inside trailers. Two models of the holder are available: the OH-01 for open trailers, which works with the Gridiron post system, and the EH-01 for enclosed trailers that mounts to the trailer wall.
New contractor-class plow from Meyer
The Lot Pro from Meyer Products features a 32-inch-high moldboard with a 75-degree attack angle for better clearing and back dragging. Operated with a standard pistol-grip controller, the Lot Pro connects quickly and easily using the single plug connector with silver-coated pins to guard against rusting.
Two spike roller system for aeration
The Greenscape Conservation Seeder/Overseeder uses two spike rollers in a ground drive system to aerate and prepare soil for seeding. The front roller pushes the second roller at a faster speed, approximately 42-percent faster. Seed drops onto a splash pan to spread the entire working width of the machine, which is available in 60-inch and 84-inch widths.
Portable sprinkler to handle dry spots
The RollerPro from Underhill International is a portable sprinkler base with solid brass impact sprinklers for supplemental irrigation of dry spots and newly seeded turf on large sites. The sprinkler base has a 22-inch wide stainless steel roller that works with 3/4-inch and 1-inch hoses. RollerPro is available in six models ranging from 13 to 54 gpm, and sprinkler heads provide 57 to 96-feet of coverage.
Eliminate callbacks with specialty herbicides
With Gallery specialty herbicide from Dow AgroSciences, landscapers can control weeds for six to eight months, eliminating excessive callbacks for repeated applications. Gallery is a broadleaf preemergence product that stops weeds as they germinate. It can be applied in spring or fall for season-long control on warm and cool season turf and ornamentals.
