Employees at a New Holland facility in India are celebrating a milestone.

The New Holland Fiat India (NHFI), which is a subsidiary of CNH Global and part of the Fiat Industrial Group, produced its 250,000th tractor from its plant in Greater Noida.

The 250,000th vehicle was the New Holland 5500, which went to Rakesh Malhotra, head of NHFI.

This 250,000 unit comes three years after the company reached 150,000 units.

The Greater Noida plant has plans to expand operations to set up a new plant in Chakan, Pune, which will increase capacity to 60,000 units per year in the next two years at the Greater Noida facility.
