One landscaper is using the sun in a cutting-edge and unique way.

Madison Earth Care’s Bob Blundon started using solar energy at his home but realized he could apply the same concept to his landscaping business, according to WTNH.

Blundon started working with Aegis Solar Energy to help power his landscaping equipment instead of using the more-common fuel.

The company put solar panel on the roof of his trailer, which connects to all of the chargers for batteries.

Besides saving the cost in fuel, the company has seen labor savings by not traveling to gas stations.
