Landscaper Designs College’s Veterans Memorial

A Washington landscaper’s design has been chosen to be the new veterans memorial on the campus of Columbia Basin College.

The Columbia Basin College Board of Trustees approved the design that was submitted by Jesse’s Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping, according to KNDU.

The memorial was selected with the help of committee members and veteran on campus. The Associated Student Body voted to pay the $75,000 to build the memorial, the article states, with other private donations covering maintenance fees.

The foundation hopes to start the memorial this summer and have it ready in time for Veteran’s Day in November.
