John Deere has recalled 19 Compact Utility Tractor models because of failing spring-locking pins in the rollover protective system (ROPS).
The pins can break in the system, which can cause the ROPS functionality to fail in the event of a rollover, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The models involved in the recall are the John Deere 1000, 2000, 3000 and 4000 series of compact utility tractors built between February 2013 and July 2013.
The company has received three reports of broken spring-locking pins, as well as identified two failed spring-locking pins in the manufacturing process. No injuries have been reported.
For those who have a recalled model should stop using the machine immediately and contact a John Deere dealer for free repair.
