Oregon has previewed the expansion of its 40V Max Cordless Tool System.
Set to be released in early 2014, the trio of products includes a pole saw, second-generation trimmer/edger and longer-running 4 Ah battery pack.
Each product uses Oregon’s PowerNow 40V Max Lithium Ion battery technology.
The tool-free telescoping shaft extends from 7 feet, 2 inches to 10 feet, 4 inches and can allow up to 15 feet of reach.
Featuring a mid-mount motor, the pole saw features an integrated branch hook to help with branch removal.
The saw weighs 13.5 pounds with either the 2.4 Ah or 4 Ah batter pack.

Featuring gear-drive technology, the trimmer/edger has 50 percent more torque. The machine includes a dual-line cutting head and flip-down edge guide.
Utilizing Oregon’s quick-load trimmer head, the trimmer/edger has a variable speed trigger. Oregon’s Platinum Gatorline comes standard. The machine weighs 9.4 pounds with the 2.4 Ah or 4 Ah battery pack.
