
The National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA)’s founding member and immediate past president, Jesus ‘Chuy’ Medrano, has been named the Rocky Mountain Regional Turfgrass Association (RMRTA) 2013 Distinguished Service Award recipient.
Medrano was honored for his success as the founder and owner of Co-Cal Landscaping in Denver, Colorado, and for his involvement with the professional advancement of Hispanics in the landscape industry, regionally and across the country.
Over the past two decades, Medrano has taught employees leadership and business skills that have helped them further their careers.
During his time as president of the organization, Medrano used his voice in successfully challenging regulations advanced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Labor (DOL).
