As plans continue to emerge for the World Trade Center site, one development has been made clear.
The NYPD and Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have determined that the roof of the site’s vehicle security checkpoint will feature an elevated park, according to Gizmodo.
Designed by landscape architect, Joseph Brown and AECOM, Liberty Park will display a variety of concrete sidewalks intertwined with greenery.
The article states that the New York Times reports on a massive green wall that will span the 30-foot wall below the park’s edge.
The park will be sitting on WTC’s Vehicular Security Center, which will be responsible for checking every motorized vehicle that comes to the building.
