Launched at this year’s GIE+EXPO, the TW40 has an operating weight of 7,275 pounds, a wheelbase of 5 feet 7.5 inches and a universal hydraulic SSL quick-attach.
Engine
The TW40 is equipped with a turbocharged 39.4 horsepower, EPA Interim Tier 4-compliant Perkins engine with extended-life coolant, a dual element air cleaner with restriction indicator, and a heavy-duty radiator and oil cooler.
Undercarriage and Frame
The TW40 features a tire assembly, two-speed travel, cable-operated parking brake and hydraulic drum service brakes.
The wheel loader features outboard planetary drives to keep the oil housed separately from the differentials, and allows for larger bearings. This design also reduces heat and minimizes build-up in the oil.
Hydraulics
The TW40’s auxiliary hydraulic hoses are plumbed to the end of the loader arm, with the hoses routed inside the loader arm. A diverter valve allows the operator to divert flow from the coupler function to an attachment that requires auxiliary flow.
Universal Hydraulic SSL Quick-Attach
The universal SSL quick-attach allows skid steer and track loader attachments to be used on a single compact machine.
Operator’s Station
The inside of the TW40 features an automotive-style cab with an adjustable-suspension seat and adjustable arm rests. The TW40 also comes with safety features including a removable six-bolt level one FOPS guard, a folding ROPS structure and a lighting package for work, driving and signal lights. An optional enclosed and heated cab with front and rear wipers is also available.
