IronPlanet, Mascus Form Alliance to Integrate Sites

IronPlanet has created an alliance, as well as a small minority investment with Mascus.

The agreement includes the integration of the two sites with new remarketing services.

Buyers on IronPlanet will have better access to the whole inventory of listings on Mascus.

The alliance was formed based on sellers of used heavy equipment that are increasingly moving from traditional publications and land-based auctions to online marketplaces.

Likewise, buyers of equipment turn to the Internet to find the equipment they need at the price they are willing to pay within a quick timeframe.
