The awards recognize outstanding hardscaping professional’s projects of 2013 across the Mid-Atlantic region.
The awards were presented during the 2014 Mid-Atlantic Hardscaping Trade Show (MAHTS).
This year’s awards were voted on by a panel of industry experts, and were awarded to contractors whose craftsmanship reflected the best in design and execution.
Winning projects were evaluated on project objectives, design, execution, quality of installation and customer satisfaction.
To qualify for the Contractors’ Choice Awards, businesses must have installed hardscaping projects between Jan. 1, 2013 and Nov. 30, 2013, and have utilized at least 75 percent of EP Henry products.
The 2014 winners and runners-up include:
Hardscaping Project Value Under $10,000: This award recognizes an individual or firm who has created an outstanding project under $10,000 in total project value.
- Winner: Lehnhoff’s Landscaping LLC, based in Kingsville, Maryland
Lehnoff’s Landscaping used EP Henry products to construct front steps using Village Square in Pewter Blend with a Brick Stone, Charcoal Border and Coventry Wall III in Pewter Blend with DevonStone Double Sided Caps in Bluestone. - Runner-Up: Creative Pavers, based in West Deptford, New Jersey
Creative Pavers created a front entrance, walkway and steps using Old Towne Cobble in both Harvest & Dakota Blends, Village Square 12”x12” in Harvest Blend and 3” Rustic Double Face Wall in Chestnut.
Hardscaping Project Value Between $10,001-$25,000: This award recognizes an individual or firm who has created an outstanding project between $10,001 and $25,000 in total project value.
- Winner: Darlington Designs, based in Glassboro, New Jersey
Darlington Designs created a pool patio with a fire pit & seating area using Rustic Three Piece Modular and 3” Rustic Double Face Wall, both in Earth.
Hardscaping Project Value More Than $25,000: This award recognizes an individual or firm who has created an outstanding project for more than $25,000 in total project value.
- Winner: Johnson’s Landscaping LLC, based in Monroeville, New Jersey
Johnson’s Landscaping used Three Piece Modular Pavers with 9”x9” in both Chestnut and Earth and 3” Rustic Double Face Wall in Chestnut and Earth to construct a driveway, front entrance walkway and steps. - Runner-Up: Clean Cut Interlocking Pavers, based in Lewes, Delaware
Clean Cut Interlocking Pavers constructed a patio area complete with walls, steps and a Fire Pit Kit using Coventry Stone I, Coventry Wall III all in Harvest Blend and DevonStone Chilton Steps, Bluestone
Distributor of the Year: This award recognizes the EP Henry Authorized Hardscaping Distributor that best exemplifies a commitment of excellence to contractors and homeowners with the quality of its service, product selection, logistics, value, display, delivery and other offerings.
This year, the panel was deadlocked, so EP Henry recognized both as winners:
- V&S Landscape Supply, based in Freehold, New Jersey
- Le-Ed Concrete & Supply, based in Toms River, New Jersey
