Landclearing Loftness Timberax

Whatever the task at hand—cleanup, compaction, concrete and asphalt, demolition, earthmoving, landclearing or landscaping —there’s an attachment in our roundup that will help you complete the job. Click through and see them all below.

Cleanup: Take on cleanup, material handling and snow removal applications with the SweepEx Mega 600, which has a 60-inch-long mainframe. Suitable for dirt, leaves, snow, material spills, standing water, steel shavings and gravel, the broom attachment fits a variety of carriers. Built with no moving parts, the broom has no cleaning and lubrication requirements, and brush replacement is simplified via a brush section system. The polypropylene sections offer durability and flexibility while minimizing dust and flying debris. Featuring 11 brush rows, the Mega 600 can also handle broom extenders increasing the unit to 96 inches for large applications.

 Cleanup: Handle cleanup and maintenance jobs with York Broom’s Model SSAB angle broom for skid steers. Requiring a 12- to 25-gpm hydraulic system with 1,800 to 2,250 psi, the broom mounts directly to the skid steer’s quick attach system. The Model SSAB may be angled to a maximum of 30 degrees left or right, and the angling feature can be converted to hydraulic operation by replacing the manual control with a standard 10-inch stroke cylinder. Available in 6-, 7- and 8-foot widths, the broom has 32-inch convoluted brush sections, and can be equipped with all polypropylene, crimped wire or a 50/50 combination at no additional cost. Options include single point raise/lower storage stands on each side of the unit to protect the broom during maintenance and storage, and dirt deflectors that protect the operator from flying debris. Compaction: Quickly compact soil, sand, gravel, crushed stone or fill material with the Bradco Vibratory Roller by Paladin Attachments, which is designed for skid steers and compact loaders. The roller requires 20 gpm and delivers up to 9,370 pounds of force. Features include isolated hydraulic drives for protection and an adjustable steel scraper blade between the frame and drum for smooth and uniform compaction performance. Equipped with either a smooth or padfoot drum, the roller is available in 36-, 48-, 66-, 73- and 84-inch drum widths, and can tilt 15 degrees to the left or right.
Concrete/Asphalt: Break and load concrete using a single tool with Arrow Material Handling Products’ concrete removal/demolition grapple, which handles rebar with ease and breaks 10-inch concrete with a crushing force of 3.5 tons at the tips. The high strength steel grapple breaks off and carries large pieces of concrete without the need to handle twice, and lifts out full sections of sidewalks without disturbing the surrounding area. Available in a 10-tine and 10-tine wide model, the grapple is 3,000-psig rated and has a universal skid-steer coupler. Demolition: Achieve 82,000 pounds of impact force with each cycle with Danuser’s CB40 hammer concrete breaker, which is designed to operate on a skid steer with 12 to 30 gpm, without the need for additional setup. The hammer breaks up to 9-inch-thick reinforced concrete with 35 strokes per minute. The CB40 has an anti-dry fire feature that prevents unnecessary firing, while boosting the durability of the machine. The drop hammer design also offers simplified maintenance. Demolition: Break concrete up to 12 inches thick with the Hurricane HD 3700 drop hammer from Universal Impact Technologies, which delivers 30 blows per minute with 3,700 pounds of breaking energy. The hammer has a heavy-duty wheel mount motor, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene chain guide that reduces wear and a removable bottom end for easier maintenance and to simplify replacing the ground engaging skids. Features include a one-piece solid drop weight and two-position attachment bracket, allowing for easy access to the skid-steer loader cab.
Earthmoving: Handle a range of digging jobs with Kioti’s KB2465 backhoe, which features a quick attach/detach feature from easy removal. Designed to work with Kioti’s new Tier 4 CK2510 tractor sub frame, the backhoe’s offset sub frame design has a large approach angle for easy trailer loading. The attachment digs to 76 inches deep with a dig force of up to 2,817 pounds, with a swing pivot of up to 113 inches. The backhoe has responsive two-lever controls with feathering, hydraulic stabilizers, transport lock and a variety of heavy duty buckets. Landclearing: Easily grind stumps of any shape or size with Bandit Industries’ Stump Gun, a stump grinding attachment designed for use with skid steers. Powered by the skid steer’s hydraulic system, the Stump Gun attaches to the machine in seconds with a quick attach plate. The vertical design enables the operator to grind the stump from left to right and helps aid in chip containment as well as grinding odd-shaped stumps and rootballs. The Stump Gun’s simple design of 2 grease points, 9 grinding teeth and an end-cap on the shaft ensures simple maintenance, as the hydraulic motor requires no maintaining. Landclearing: Efficiently cut brush and trees to 6 inches in diameter, or intermittently cut 12-inch-diameter material with Loftness’ TimberAx skid steer attachment. Featuring a 17-inch rotor, the reverse-rotation design lifts material off the ground for cutting, eliminating driving uncut material into the crown. Manufactured from a low-maintenance alloy, the knives can be sharpened directly on the machine. An adjustable shear bar precisely controls mulch size. The TimberAx is available in 53-, 63-, 73- and 83-inch cutting widths and features a universal mount for attachment to any skid steer. Nine hydraulic motor options accommodate flow rates from 22 to 54 gpm.
 Landclearing: Simplify cutting drainage ditches with U.S. Mower’s Ditcher, a high power ditcher head designed for use on tractor-mounted boom mowers, as well as skid steers, excavators and backhoes. The 75-horsepower heads can also maintain existing drainage, and the adjustable discharge can spread dug material out up to 15 feet. Composed of a high strength steel body with AR 400 wear surfaces and large tapered roller bearings, the Ditcher features long life even in demanding conditions. A range of wear parts is available, as well as custom discharge geometry and direction.  Landclearing: Handle a range of landclearing jobs including removing trees, brush and debris with the X-Series Brush Grapple from Vail Products, which delivers a combination of performance and value. Made in the United States and offering more than 6 feet of open jaw height, the X-Series Brush Grapple has the largest grapple capacity available in the market, according to Vail. Landscaping: Perform a range of landscaping jobs with Grouser Products’ V3 FlexPlane attachment for skid steers. The attachment has a self-adjusting blade that rotates to contour to the ground, and uses a pivoting action to adjust for uneven ground and deliver maximum efficiency. The contouring action prevents floating empty, eliminating the issues of corners digging into high spots in the surface. Two double-beveled hardened cutting edges deliver aggressive cutting action and smooth leveling in forward and reverse. Additional features include a Cross Crumbler Beam for difficult terrain, and large stationary rear side plates that allow the attachment to move more material. Grouser’s Accu-Tach system ensures the V3 FlexPlane can be attached to any skid steer within minutes. 
 Landscaping: Move material such as rocks, brush, wood, metal and other hard-to-handle debris while leaving the dirt behind with SitePro Low Profile Tine Grapples from Worksaver. Designed for skid steers, the landscaping grapples are also useful for cleanup applications. Available in 72-, 78- and 84-inch lengths, the grapples have 14, 15 and 16 tines, respectively. Lower tines are spaced at 5 ½ inches. The attachments have 3,000-psi cylinders and cylinder guards to protect cylinders and components, and hoses are equipped with flat-faced couplers that connect under pressure.
