Stihl recently celebrated its 40th anniversary of manufacturing in the United States.
What started with less than 50 employees working together to make one model of chainsaw in a rented warehouse in 1974 has grown into a large-scale manufacturing facility.
Today, Stihl manufactures more than 275 model variations, exports to more than 90 countries and employees more than 2,100 nationwide.
During the Oktoberfest celebration, Stihl hosted those who have contributed to the company’s success in American manufacturing, including two generations of the Stihl family from Germany, as well as employees, distributors and more.
