Komatsu’s new log loader features robust engine, wireless technology

PC210LL-10Komatsu America says its Forest Machine Business Division’s new PC210LL-10 log loader boasts of a more environmentally friendly engine that also increases horsepower by 7 percent, lowers fuel consumption by 10 percent and is EPA Tier 4 Interim certified.

The newest addition to Komatsu’s Dash-10 series of log loaders has a flywheel horsepower of 158 and weighs 65,118 pounds in road-builder configuration. The loader is also available in log-loader and processor head-carrier configurations. The machine wirelessly sends operating information such as operating hours, location, cautions, fuel consumption and maintenance alerts to a secure website. Komatsu says its fleet-monitoring system increases machine availability, reduces the risk of theft, allows for remote diagnosis by the distributor and provides a variety of information to enhance business efficiency and productivity.

A host of special features of the new machine can be reviewed on Komatsu America’s website. The company also notes that all of its Dash-10 log loaders are covered by Komatsu’s complimentary scheduled maintenance program for three years or 2000 hours, whichever occurs first.
