Battery-powered trimmer, blower target commercial market

Dewalt, a Stanley Black & Decker brand, is introducing a 20-volt “Max” XR string trimmer and a 20-volt “Max” XR handheld blower to its product line for landscape, construction and maintenance work.

With a 13-inch cutting swath and dual 0.08-inch line with bump feed, the string trimmer is lightweight with an ergonomic design. Dewalt says the trimmer also features a variable trigger with speed control and patented gear drive design.

The blower, meanwhile, features an axial fan design that maximizes air output at 400 cubic feet per minute and runtime at 90 miles per hour.

Dewalt says its blower also is lightweight (7.1 pounds) and features an ergonomic design. It’s also a relatively quiet machine, the manufacturer says, and its variable trigger and speed lock make the unit a good fit for landscaping and lawn-maintenance work.
