Morbark unveiled the MXG50 Track Stump Grinder at the TCI Expo today. The new model is part of Morbark’s re-engineered line of stump grinders. The company says the unit is ideal for landscapers, stump grinding contractors and rental stores.

The Morbark MXG50 Track Stump Grinder is equipped with a 35-horsepower Kohler gasoline engine. Given its compact size and power – combined with a 50-inch boom arc swing, maximum cutting height of 21.5 inches and maximum cutting depth of 16 inches – the manufacturer positions the machine as an investment in new business for landscaping contractors.

“The MXG50 Track Stump Grinder gives our customers a smaller tracked option with a wide boom arc, significant cutting depth and many user-friendly features,” Casey Gross, Morbark tree care products sales manager, said. “We listened to the voice of our customers to determine what features and options we needed on this model and the improvements we made to our whole stump grinder line.”

Like other Morbark stump grinders, the MXG50 Track Stump Grinder features Long Boom Technology, which maintains the full 50-inch cutting arc regardless of depth. Standard features on the MXG50 include a tip-out operator’s station with 4-up fingertip controls for command of the machine functions from one location, convenient electric clutch engagement, and turf-friendly 7-inch tracks. The optional remote control system gives the user ultimate control and safety.

In addition to the new MXG50 track model, Morbark says it has made improvements to its entire stump grinder line.
